About Marla Cook
Marla Cook graduated with a BA in Music from Kansas Christian College. She also attended Fort Scott Community College and Pittsburgh State University in Kansas.
Marla has been involved in music ministry most of her life. As a young lady she traveled with a family group called The Celestials.
She moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to become music director for Bible Fellowship Center for fifteen years. It was during this time that she married Rev. William Cook, pastor of the church, and began her family with the birth of their daughter. After her time in Tulsa, she moved with her husband to work in Kansas Christian College.
William and Marla currently pastor the Gregory Hills Church in Kansas City, MO. Their daughter, Alissa, is in her senior year at Overland Christian Schools located on the campus of Kansas Christian College. Marla and her husband also own Heritage Home School Academy which services students Pre-K to 12th grade all around the world.
God has blessed Marla with the gift of playing the piano in such a manner that the keyboard expresses the message beautifully. She also is gifted with writing music and has four of her own original compositions on her new project, “My Praise.” Her singing is expressive and beautiful in its own right.
The Lord gave Marla the opportunity to record the “My Praise” album after a pastor’s wife and friend of hers, Esther Allred, prayed that God would send someone to make possible this project. Her prayer was answered when a wonderful couple in a different church, without any prior knowledge, offered to fund the complete project. God truly answered prayer and provided this opportunity!
It is our prayer that this album will be anointed to strengthen your step and lighten your way to the City of God.
Sincerely,
William and Marla Ministries
